Simply evil. I just do not know why it is that the GOP feels it is necessary to maintain and abuse as much as possible a disenfranchised underclass, no matter how hard it tries to better itself.

These delusional fuckers have no decency or compassion in their warped, twisted and depraved souls. At some point, if they make enough Americans poor enough, and strip enough basic rights, chance for advancement and dignity, the GOP will get their revolution. It just won't be them doing it.

Thats the GOP for you: they want to deny women contraceptives, force them to have the resulting babies, and at the same time deny them any means of supporting said babies.

In other words, a permanent underclass.

iceweasel, are you trying to stroke me out?

Whether the anti-choice peeps offer to raise the resulting kids, or not, it's none of their goddamned business. They don't get to decide a woman is an incubator because it makes the anti-choice peeps all warm and fuzzy inside.

Not their business. Not their choice.

I'll be damned if every woman that fought for equality threw it out the window for this spookhouse boogyman bullshit to become the new ground rules. Ignorant, unpaid, homebound, and terminally knocked up is not what they envisioned.

What a bunch of pricks.

Aaaaaaaaaaaargh. Its hard to believe there are still dinosaurs like this running around loose. (I know, there is really ample evidence.)

I'm educated, I'm married, I stayed home with my kids. I'm also a feminist, worked for passage of the ERA many moons ago, and strongly support child care and early childhood education.

Its about CHOICE. and people having options. Oh wait, they know that don't they? That's the problem. Women in general and men from the lower classes should listen to their "betters" and not be confused with all those choices.

Somebody - it may have been you - recently identified the common denominator of all these religious right social policy initiatives: control of procreation. I would add to that: the re-instatement of paternal hierarchies and the enforcement of traditional gender roles to strengthen the grip of men on the procreation process. It's all very simple: be fruitful and multiply. That means you, woman. Or else.
